Keeping A Young Baseball Player In The Game!
All Kids Play got a call from a coach one day during the pandemic about a twelve-year-old boy who has played baseball on his team for years. The young baseball player is one of three children of a single mom who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. She has been in and out of treatment, having to take unpaid leave with little financial support outside of her home.
In the midst of all of this, baseball was a reliable constant for her son. His coach provided strong positive support, and in the past, the program was able to provide scholarships for the boy. However, the economic impact of the pandemic made it difficult for the program to continue to provide full financial support. All Kids Play was happy to help provide assistance to keep this youth athlete in the game!
