Keeping Mya in the game!
Mya has been playing basketball for community leagues and her school for years. Basketball has given her an outlet to thrive both physically and mentally. The pandemic and the associated isolation caused Mya to be hesitant to continue with basketball. However, her passion for the game continued to spark her enthusiasm to stay in the game. Mya’s family found a high-quality basketball program close to home. Mya made the team! She was thrilled! The challenge was that due to the pandemic, Mya’s mom had been laid off and has been facing financial challenges. All Kids Play teamed up with the family to help enable Mya to continue playing. The spark has ignited a flame in Mya’s game.
